Hall

in the year 1924, a landmark event in the school’s history took place when the main hall was officially declared open by lady bertram. this momentous occasion was not just the unveiling of a new building, but the beginning of a new chapter in the life of the school. the hall quickly became the heart of the institution — a space where students and teachers would come together for assemblies, cultural events, performances, and celebrations.

It symbolized progress, unity, and the school’s commitment to providing a well-rounded education. lady bertram’s presence added prestige to the occasion, reflecting the importance placed on education and community development during that era. the opening of the main hall has since remained a cherished memory and a proud milestone that continues to inspire future generations.

Library

In the spirit of progress and dedication to learning, the school established its open access library, opening a new chapter in academic development. this initiative marked a significant step toward encouraging independent study, curiosity, and a lifelong love for reading among students. with the launch of the open access system, students were given the freedom to explore books on their own, fostering a sense of responsibility and intellectual growth.

The library quickly became a hub of knowledge and inspiration — a quiet sanctuary where young minds could expand their horizons beyond the classroom. the introduction of the open access library stands as a testament to the school’s vision of nurturing well-informed, self-motivated learners prepared to meet the demands of an ever-changing world.

Paul Building

The opening of the Grace Paul Building by Mrs. S.G. Mendis marked another significant milestone in the school’s journey toward growth and excellence. This new building, named in honour of a distinguished figure, was established to accommodate the expanding needs of the school and to provide a modern, well-equipped space for academic and extracurricular activities. mrs. s.g. mendis, whose presence at the ceremony added both grace and significance, officially declared the building open, symbolising a continued commitment to the advancement of education.
